Recycling projects to do

Can Pak Environmental Inc: Recycling projects to do

Recycling can be a great hobby because you can be creative with what you can do. You can come up with new ideas that haven’t been done before and join competitions that showcase recycled items. This will inspire people to contribute and become better citizens of the world.

With that being said, here are some easy and fun recycling ideas you can do in your home:

Recycled plastic bottle cups

Plastic is one of the biggest contributors to water and land pollution because it’s non-biodegrable and mass-produced. Those plastics that were created long ago can still be found in many areas of the world. After buying water or soda, don’t just throw the bottle away! You can make creative products with these sturdy plastic bottles.

One idea for this item is creating supply cups that can contain crayons, pencils and even paintbrushes. What’s more, you can even add a zipper at the end of the bottle to create a pencil case!

Reuse containers

If you’re looking for a way to organize your pantry, reusing containers is one way to go. Repurposing old bottles allows you to fill them with snacks like nuts and other ingredients such as baking soda, sugar, salt and others. This way, you don’t have to buy expensive containers in supermarkets just to have an aesthetically pleasing kitchen.

Plastic bottle planter

Planting and taking care of plants have been the hobby of many people these past few months. Go green when you reuse old soda bottles and turn them into planters! Just make sure to put holes at the button of the bottle to allow excess water to drip from the planter. Additionally, what’s fun about doing this is because you can let your kids become creative by allowing them to paint and put designs on the exterior of the planter.

Cardboard partition

If your kitchen drawer is unorganized and full of cooking tools, you can tidy them up when you recycle a cardboard box and turn it into a partition. Measure your drawer and cut the box into pieces based on the measurements. With this, you can become organized and group your tools accordingly.

Laundry detergent watering can

With a recycled laundry detergent bottle, you don’t have to purchase watering cans that can easily break when you drop them accidentally. Create your own by recycling the biggest bottle you have at home. Simply drill or punch tiny holes in the cap to let the water drip quickly.

Milk carton into the garden scooper

Gardening doesn’t stop at recycled watering cans! You can go the extra mile when you let your mind become more creative with things you never thought you could create. Invest in a cheap but sturdy garden scooper when you recycle your large milk carton.
