A LITTLE BIT
Can Pak Environmental Inc. is an enterprising company located in central Alberta. My family started in the waste business in the mid 1950s. Their company was my introduction to this industry. I have continued to work in this field. These years of experience have provided me with an extensive and thorough knowledge of the waste industry, resource recovery and associated facilities.
We offer a complete line of waste and recycling services. Consultations and in-house audits are also available. We cater to industrial, commercial and private acreage customers on either a short or long term basis.
We have opened a material recovery facility in Red Deer that accepts various types of recycling, sorted and unsorted. We were recently awarded a long term contract with Medicine Hat and will set up operational facilities within that City. Currently, we operate facilities in Mountain View County, Edmonton, Calgary, and Drayton Valley.
Can Pak has developed a strong, internal infrastructure using these facilities to handle all our collections of waste and recyclable materials. This decision has been very beneficial to our customers, providing them with the most competitive rates and the highest level of service in the Alberta market.

We do this by implementing and managing recycling programs across our clients and by trying to reduce waste going to landfills. We try to extract the most value of our recyclable materials. CanPak sponsors the Lacombe arena naming rights.

Protecting the health and safety of all workers at all times is the right thing to do. Effective development and maintenance of a health and safety management system is a proactive approach to eliminating workplace injuries and illnesses.
COR™ is aimed at driving positive workplace behaviour and practices that lead to improved performance. It is currently being used across Canada and is a pre-qualification requirement for many contractors working in and out of the province and on public- and private-sector projects.

Our Quality Management

Considering all these, we received a Certificate of Recognition from the government of Alberta stating that we have developed and implemented an occupational health and safety program and met the standard through an independent evaluation of our facilities.
This certification aims to drive positive workplace behavior and practices that lead to improved performance. It is currently being used across Canada and is a pre-qualification requirement for many contractors working in and out of the province and on public and private sector projects.
We make sure that our workers are operating under safe working conditions and this certification proves that.
